Wildlife in the "Garden of Eden" – Ngorongoro
Thought by some to be Africa's original "Garden of Eden," Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest calderas in the world and contains a variety of ecosystems and an astounding concentration of birds and animals. Our four-wheel-drive vehicle (Toyota Land Cruiser) provided an excellent mobile viewing platform when encountering massive herds of zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles. This area afforded us an opportunity to spot many of the Big Five:
1. Elephant
2. Leopard
3. Lion
4. Buffalo
5. Rhinoceros

For lunch we enjoyed a picnic lunch in the crater, near the Hippo pond.

Zebras gather together to confuse the predators. They look bigger with many legs and confusing stripes.
